Dr. Shiro Ishii
The Japanese microbiologist, Shiro Ishii, was responsible for war crimes and human experimentation during the 2nd Sino-Japanese war. In 1942, he started conducting experiments on people as part of the Japanese Army’s secret project.
The number of his victims is estimated at tens of thousands. Ishii used hypothermia, frostbites, heart attacks, stimulated strokes, forced abortions, vivisections, and bio-weapon exposure in his experiments.
In fact, he has never been pledged guilty for his crimes because he negotiated getting his freedom in exchange for the information he collected during experiments.
Dr. Josef Mengele
This doctor was known as The Angel of Death. He is the number one on this list because, as you may guess, he was responsible for the highest number of deaths, besides performing unimaginable medical experiments. In 1943, Dr. Josef Mengele started working as the medical officer in Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Nazi extermination camp.
Soon enough, Mengele started abusing camp inmates. He was mostly interested in identical twins to use for his human experiments. He tried to change twins’ eye color through injecting chemicals directly into their eyes, he conducted limb amputations, and performed shock treatments and sterilization on girls.
Once Mengele finishes an experiment, the subject was killed and the body cut up. In the end, the Nazi war criminal didn’t only survive the war, but escaped Germany to South America, even though he’s been constantly haunted.
