We, Americans are known to purchase many health and dieting supplements because we believe that they will help us be healthier, but in fact, our bodies don’t do anything except urinate them out because they are not useful, or worse, they put us at risk of many health issues.
The majority of health experts agree that the best way to get the vitamins and nutrients our bodies need is by consuming all types of fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, and some grains. Other than that, we are only wasting our money down the drain.

Chromium may be beneficial when it comes to balancing our blood sugar and protecting it from diabetes. But, this supplement may harm us as well. According to an Australian study, chromium supplements may increase your risks for getting certain kinds of cancers.
In order to benefit from it without harming yourself, you can eat other natural supplements like potatoes, beans, and any other fresh vegetables regularly.
#3 – Fish Oil
For the past decades, people have been consuming fish oil uncontrollably after finding out that it is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help to decrease the risk for any heart problem.
The thing is there is no evidence proves that fish oil in the form of a pill is providing a better heart health, especially that Food and Drug Administration is not authorized to review health supplement products before they are marketed, which means consumers have to be cautious about depending on them for health.
#4 – Vitamin E
Let’s be honest, all of us are obsessed with any supplement that can help us slow or reverse the signs of aging. Unfortunately, and after a couple of studies, it turned out that this supplement didn’t keep their fountain-of-youth promise. Instead, it put men at a higher risk of getting cancer.
Of course, Vitamin E is very beneficial for a healthy diet.
But, you still earn all the nutrients you need by eating eggs regularly. The Journal of Nutrition conducted a study that showed eating cooked eggs with other vitamin-rich foods will help your body absorb Vitamin E and other fat-subtle nutrients.

3 out of 5 pop-up ads and email spam are for enhancing s*xual pleasure and performance, and people surprisingly consume them more than we expect.
However, these supplements are proven to not be healthy at all, they are way too risky and should never be consumed because most of them are scams. Instead, there are many healthy foods you can eat that can enhance your performance while benefiting your health.
#6 – Muscle Builders
Muscle builder supplements, in particular, are one of the supplements that should never be consumed.
Instead, a healthy diet that is based on plenty of proteins followed by a workout will, definitely, allow the body to build muscle without posing any danger or health risk to the body. Meanwhile, you can throw the rest in the trash because they are no good.
#7 – Blood Sugar Regulators
Pre-diabetes and diabetes are a serious business, which is why they should be treated and maintained with strict dietary changes, prescription medication, and the supervision of a medical expert.
Therefore, doctors warn us and highly advice us to not consume any supplement that “regulates” the blood pressure because they are not safe and might interfere with a medication that, eventually, end up losing its power to actually heal you.

Any supplement that promises weight loss should be banned because they are useless and unhealthy. Those supplements come in all shapes and size promoting your “body goal”, and honestly, they never work.
However, it would have been great if we were able to just pop in a pill and be able to have a summer body in the next two weeks. But, our health matters more and also, it never works that way. Exercising and a healthy diet is what will help you reach your body goal.
#9 – Anti-Opioids
This supplement is ravaging all over the country, making a great success for the companies selling them, and the companies selling other products that “end” the addiction of it, and they are both equally unhealthy.
So far, there are no studies that show their health benefits, but they found out that you may or may not find the ingredients listed on the bottle. Plus, they are very expensive!
