Urushiol is a chemical found in raw cashews as well as in poison ivy! Urushiol can be poisonous and cause fatal reactions if taken in larger amounts, especially with people who are allergic to it. Whereas small doses of the later won’t bring your life to an end.
It’s very important to mention that the raw cashews you see in the supermarket are not actually raw but were steamed to eliminate the urushiol on them. Otherwise, you would have suffered from the symptoms caused by poison ivy.
