There is some sort of collective bad habits that you’re not the only one who’s guilty of. It should be noted that, unlike popular belief, 21 days is not enough for a habit to be established.
According to researchers from the University College in London, it takes an average of 66 days to turn an action into something that you do without thinking about it, aka habit.
However, quitting an already well-shaped and engraved habit could take much longer than 2 months. The most important thing is to know which of your habits are healthy and which are risky. To get started, leave these 9 very bad habits in the past and adopt healthier ones.
#1 – Don’t place your feet up on the dashboard
Sitting in the front seat of the car with your feet up on the dashboard might be very comfortable and can make you look cool. But, in fact, it’s an extremely risky position. First of all, this is one of the most horrible positions to be sitting in during a car accident, and second is a lesser danger, which is braking.
If the car suddenly stops while you’re in this ‘cool’ position, your face will hit your knees, and the collision might cause bone fractures as well as a terribly long and painful recovery period. So, it’s best to sit just normally with your seatbelt on.
#2 – Don’t gather the shower curtain to one side and don’t hang wet towels on hooks
I guess that everyone does this one without ever giving it a second thought! After showering, you open up the shower curtain, dry off, and hang your wet towel on a hook. Sorry to tell you this, but this is a very unsanitary habit since mold can easily grow between the folds of the shower curtain while bacteria can thrive in the wet wrinkles of the towel.
