Shark fin soup is a popular and fancy dish in Asia, which means a huge market for shark fins. Also, the high demand for these fins has resulted in targeting sharks only to take off their fins. (Lucky Americans sharks.)

However, the import of fresh ackee is outlawed. (Those toxic black seeds seem a bit evil though!)

Actually, this fruit isn’t rotten, toxic, or weird-looking, it has been promoted as a regional high-quality product, it’s nearly impossible to get the Mirabelle plum into the United States due to the protected origin designation.
