This is What Happened after Taking the 15 Minute Night Walk Challenge

My name is not important to be known as I can hold the same name as yours or the same name as hers. I’m 38 years old and I live in Boulder, Colorado. I’m a young lady but my mind, body, and soul are getting older day after day.

I spend the whole day working and the whole evening tossing and turning in bed, watching TV for hours, and drinking half vino glasses. What a life!

I decided to take the challenge to change my life, break the bad habits and start new good ones. Instead of hitting the couch for some Netflix and a nightcap, I’d take a 15-minute walk after dinner every night.

Honestly, I didn’t know what results to expect. Would I feel healthier or happier? It didn’t really matter which one I’ll become as they both mean the same thing.

I started drinking less wine

A 15-Minute Walk after Dinner each and every night is quite a challenge, as once you finish your dish your couch seems irresistible. The beginning is always hard and giving up the old bad habits is even harder. So, I had to make a choice either I go for it and see how healthier or happier I’ll become or stay where I am and wonder “what if.”

I accepted the challenge and started with drinking less wine and leaving the house immediately after dinner for a refreshing walk. So, instead of toting a half-full glass with me to the couch in one hand and the vino bottle on the other, I finished my glass of vino before I got up from the table and bow down to tie my sneakers.

Even though my walks were short, I came back home thirsty and craving to chug a big glass of water.

When you are taking a challenge or have a goal that you want to attain, you cannot escape the attractions. You’ll find that everything around you is so luring that they invite you to give up and stray from the path you have chosen to walk.
