Mosquitoes are not only unbearable tiny vampires, they are also one of the most dangerous creatures in the world. They are the reason of many both minor and deadly diseases.
The US Center of Disease Control had announced that over 1.5 million people worldwide lose life, every year, due to mosquito-borne diseases.
10. Dengue Fever
Dengue fever is known among the people who live in tropical and subtropical climates, and is one of the most dangerous diseases caused by mosquitoes. Dengue mosquitoes multiply in our body’s cells
which causes extreme fever, headache, rashes and joints pain as the main symptoms. The mosquito responsible for this disease is called Aedes mosquito. There is no efficient medications and treatments available so far for this disease.
9. West Nile Virus
West Nile Virus is most common in animals and birds, but reports show that this virus is also found in the human cells. This virus is caused by Culex mosquitoes, it affects the blood circulation
of the body and damages the brain tissues, and in worst cases, it can lead to convulsions, coma and death. The disease can also spread through breast-feeding from mother to child.
8. Malaria
Malaria is caused by two viruses : Plasmodium vivax or Plasmodium falciparum. A female Anopheles mosquito’s bite can transmit any of these viruses into the human’s blood stream, which results in migrating to the liver and ruining its proper functioning.
These malarial parasites keep on generating within the body, causing fever, chills, sweating, headaches and severe-flu. Doctors are known to recommend an anti-malarial drug that’s made of quinine.
7. Yellow Fever
Yellow fever is caused by Aedes or Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, and is common in Africa and South America. This disease keeps in developing within the body for 4 to 7 days , until the victim starts experiencing severe headache, nausea and severe fever. The cure or treatment for yellow fever hasn’t been discovered so far.
