#5 – The best way to treat them
Basically, the treatment depends on the type of eye infection you developed, and if you have pink eye, then don’t rush into any treatment because it might be unnecessary.
If your case requires a topical antibiotic, then the medication will be directly applied into your eyes in the form of ointment or drops.
Sometimes, an oral antibiotic can be important, and that is decided by the doctor. There is a high chance steroid eye drops will be prescribed to you in order to calm down the inflammation.
In all cases, your doctor will definitely ask you to take a break from your contact lenses. After the break, replace your contact lenses if you use the soft ones or sanitize them if you use the hard ones.
