Since the fireworks became more accessible, the rates of injuries are becoming higher. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission found 11,100 injuries in U.S. hospitals in 2016 that were all related to fireworks.

Somehow in summer, people become careless when it comes to their safety, so they stay close to the exploding fireworks, and sometimes, they leave it in their hands!
Fireworks can lead to eye injuries, facial burns, and amputation of the hand or fingers.

To protect yourself and others, never aim the firework toward anyone, and never light them while you are still holding them. Also, eye protection is necessary before lighting them.

#7 – Being careless with food

Summer is not only for humans to thrive, it is also for the dangerous bacteria to grow and be wild. When the temperature increases, the bacteria grow faster than usual, which means, you have to make sure that all your perishable food is refrigerated, or at least cold.

If you have leftovers, then don’t leave them out for more than 3 hours. It is one of the greatest pleasures to cook and eat outdoors, but we always need to be aware because we don’t want to end up with a dangerous sickness.

#8 – Working out in the heat

Working out outside during summertime is not the greatest idea. Otherwise, you will have to be extra careful, for example, take frequent breaks and take things very slow, especially if you are not used to working out outdoors.

Most importantly, keep chugging your water as many times as possible, so that you can help your body to stay cool and not sweat dangerously. You may need a few weeks to adapt to the heat, but in all cases, taking it one step at a time is what matters!
