#7 – You Use Your Disposable Razor For Too Long
Some people might think that using a disposable razor for quite a long time can help them save some pennies! But what they might ignore is that dull blades can cause more damage to their skin, including skin irritation, razor bumps, nicks, and cuts.
In addition to this, dull blades can be home to some nasty bacteria that can cause serious infections as well as many other serious issues. Therefore, make sure to toss the razor away after one week.
#8 – You Use Your Partner’s Razor!
Never ever use your partner’s razor no matter what! You may love your partner so much but this doesn’t mean that you have to share shaving tools, such as the blade.
In fact, the latter can allow bacteria to enter through the tiny nicks in the skin and spread infection. What’s even worse is that using your partner’s blade can also lead to transmitting serious blood viruses.
#9 – You Leave Your Razor On The Ledge Of The Tub
The ledge of the tub might seem the perfect place to leave your razor but guess what? It is a pretty terrible idea especially that razors are made of stainless steel, which is normally subject to rust.
So, keeping them at this location means that they can easily get drenched in water everytime you, or a member of your family, take a shower.
#10 – You Don’t Moisturize After Shaving
What you do after shaving is equally important! The shaved skin can easily become irritated, and therefore, moisturizing your skin using your daily moisturizer, or even better, coconut oil can help in repairing and soothing your skin.
Next time you shave, don’t hesitate to apply a lightweight lotion, or even better, body oil such as coconut oil. The latter is characterized by its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits that can benefit the skin!
