This Is Why You Should Avoid Refilling Your Water Bottle

Let’s face it, we are all guilty!

By now, we have all heard about the dangers of plastic water bottles, and we are honestly doing our best to not use them that much, so we tend to reuse them instead as a way to protect our planet from any potential dangers.

We already know how dangerous plastic bottles can be for our planet earth; there are billions of those plastic water bottles covering our landfills at this moment, and they will not decompose completely in less than 1000 years at the very least!

Our planet has already been damaged by those plastic products, but do you know what else is getting damaged? Yes, your health!

When you drink water from a reusable plastic water bottle, you think you are treating your body well by hydrating it while being eco-friendly. But the truth is you are causing more harm to your body than good, do you want to know how?

Do you know how plastic bottles are made? The manufacturers use Bisphenol A (A.K.A. BPA) as a chemical to manufacture the plastics.

That chemical is extremely harmful because it spreads into the water, and then quickly, it grows dangerous bacteria in the cracks of the bottle that cause dangerous health consequences.

This is also why you should stop using straws, too!

The CEO of PuriBloc technology, Kent Atherton talked about the risks of reusing plastic bottles, and he explains how many people buy these bottles as a way to be healthier, when in reality, the opposite is true.

He claimed that even BPA-free products are harmful because the manufacturers are exchanging it with other unknown estrogenic chemicals, which can also cause dangers to human health.

Those estrogenic chemicals can negatively affect the human body and cause hormonal imbalance, but that’s not all!

According to a study at New York’s State University of 259 plastic water bottles, scientists discovered that 93 percent of surveyed bottles contained a form of microplastic contamination.

Plus, the single-use plastic is made of PET, or polyethylene terephthalate, which is completely safe to use, but never to reuse because, in case of scratching or heating, the plastic will spread dangerous chemicals to the water.

However, we have to consider that these beverage containers come in contact with our hands and mouths; the homes to many germs.

You combine the moist environment, the harmful chemicals, the constant contact with our mouths and you get: Reused plastic water bottles, the perfect bacterial breeding ground.

Do you want to know how to hydrate yourself without causing any harm? You should avoid reusing disposable bottles.

Instead, you have to recycle them after using them only once, or better yet, you can invest in a glass water bottle, stainless steel water bottle, or a BPA-free plastic bottle. You will be protecting your health, your life, and the environment.
