1. Eating Salty Snacks

The Problem:

Salty snacks, including processed snack foods, especially those in packages such as cookies, pretzels, and chips lead to bloating because your body finds itself in need to retain water to help to dilute the salt. Well, the unpleasant result is a swelling in your extremities, face, and stomach.

How to Fix it :

Just forget about pretzels, chips, and all other snack packaged foods and switch to satisfying goodies that don’t come in a package. You have various healthy options, from crunchy veggies to crisp sliced apples.

Make sure to always stick to a lower-calorie dip such as hummus and try to opt for low-sodium varieties. Also, consider dipping apples in yogurt or accompanied with a handful of crunchy almonds.

There some yummy and satisfying low-sodium snacks that you’d love to try, such as roasted chickpeas, air-popped popcorn, or frozen grapes with a bit of low-fat cheese.

2. Consuming too many Sweet Treats

The Problem:

The magnificent beach vacations and cruises tend to come with many opportunities to enjoy alcohol, especially sugary beverages such as piña coladas and margaritas.

But one seemingly harmless margarita of 10-ounce could actually add 500 calories, which is almost third of the total amount of calories many people who want to lose some weight should consume in an entire day. As for tropical drinks, they often have a similar calorie number.
