Over 50 million people in the US are diagnosed with allergies every year, according to the CDC. In fact, allergies are among the primary causes of chronic conditions in the country. Although you can’t really prevent allergies, you can still control allergic reactions if you know the source.
Generally, if the allergen is breathable, symptoms will usually show up in the lungs, nose, and eyes. And if the allergen is eatable, the reaction is likely to occur in the intestines, stomach, and mouth.

#1 – Sinus Infection
Allergies or a cold is the main reason why people develop Sinusitis. This is actually tricky because an uncontrolled allergy will make you experience allergic reactions more often.
What happens is that your body produces more mucus like if it’s combating an infection, leading to sinus pain and pressure. In case the allergies are left untreated, the fluid would get infected with a virus or bacteria.

#2 – Headaches
You can get a headache because your frontal sinus gets filled up. However, when a headache is caused by an allergy, it won’t be the only symptom. Common allergic reactions, such as watery eyes, runny nose, a rash, and itchy skin will happen as well.

#3 – Irritability
It can be quite hard to guess the link between an allergy and irritability. Experts explain that we become somehow numb to symptoms if they are left untreated for an extended period of time.
In other words, if you’re not feeling well for several weeks, and you have no idea what’s wrong because your tests turned out negative, you’d likely feel stressed and irritated.
