Enjoying Mexican food or any spicy meal at night can result in poor digestion, which will definitely deprive you of sleeping well and getting the rest your body needs to recharge. Moreover, spicy food can trigger the terribly annoying heartburn because you spend several hours without eating anything afterward.
You shouldn’t really ditch spicy food from your diet since it’s beneficial for accelerating your metabolism. However, you must avoid it at night.

Eating cereal or any other carbs at night will increase your energy level and you obviously cannot use any of it because you’ll be asleep. Plus, foods that are high in carbohydrates consist of too many refined sugars which must be burned off right away.
Instead, you can have fresh fruit, delicious smoothies, any type of salad, or protein-rich food for dinner. And don’t for the small-portion rule!

If you love to enjoy nighttime dessert, you probably should try to give it up. The flour and white sugar in dessert are actually transformed into fat cells in your body, plus, the calories that came along are pretty hard to be burned at night.
The best dessert you can have is some fruit. It’s the healthy sweetness that will keep your health and waist safe.

Dinner is more than enough, especially if you have late at night. When you dare to snack after dinner, you’re simply feeding yourself empty calories, in addition to having extra energy that won’t let you fall asleep easily.
So you gain more weight and have a terrible mood the next day due to the lack of sleep. After dinner, make sure to completely avoid cookies, bread, or any other sweets. Either opt for a light, healthy snack or just drink a glass of water.
