So if you always feel pressured to sit at the same table with your co-workers, or you have to go out with them to restaurants, then it is time to put a stop to it.

No one should force you to do anything you don’t want, especially if it means ruining your original plans.

If you find yourself getting nervous to participate in conversations, especially during meetings, then your work environment is toxic because there is a high chance that your fear comes from previous experiences of criticism.

If you made a statement that came back at you with criticism or punishment, then that may affect your innovation, creativity, and motivation. It is very important to feel safe sharing all your thoughts and ideas, which is why we suggest talking to your supervisor about better ways to communicate to gain clarity, if possible.

In general, you have to know your rights and you have to speak out loud about them, you can start by talking to human resources counselor.
