#1 – Fruit Seeds
Have you ever asked yourself why do we normally eat the fruits and throw the seeds away? Well, very simply because the pits and seeds of certain fruits, like apples, cherries, peach, and apricot, are dangerous enough to poison you and even kill you if eaten in volumes.
They contain a certain type of chemical compound called Hydrogen Cyanide or Prussic acid. And I guess the word ‘’Cyanide’’ is enough to scare the hell out of you and keep you away from taking a bite or two!
#2 – Rhubarb
Known for its astounding nutritional value, rhubarb’s stalks are the key to a healthy body. Their sweet taste and deep red color can make your salad, pie, and fresh tarts taste heavenly scrumptious. However, don’t be fooled by appearances as not all that glitters is gold.
Rhubarb’s nutritional value is unquestionable but interestingly enough its green leafy veggies are not. They are extremely high in oxalic acid, which can cause kidney stones. In addition, the consumption of fewer than 11 pounds of these leaves can make you seriously ill and if you go further than that and you consume 11 pounds and above, be ready, a funeral will soon take a place! NO joke.
