#1 – Arugula
Eating this green leafy veggie releases isothiocyanates in your body. These are phytochemical compounds that fight off carcinogens. According to a study published in the journal PlosONE and other health pages, isothiocyanates don’t only prevent the growth of breast cancer, but can also destroy tumor cells. A different study revealed that breast cancer survivors who eat green vegetables that contain isothiocyanates are less likely to suffer a recurrence. Besides Arugula, Brussels sprouts, collards, kale, and broccoli are also rich in isothiocyanates.
