#1 – Right-brained vs. Left-Brained

So…are you a right-brained or left-brained person? Actually, there is no answer to that because the question itself is built on false speculations!

This myth is widespread in modern-day and you must have surely come across several social media posts that still boast the differences between “left-brained and right-brained people.”

This pseudo-neurological myth claims that people who are pragmatic and analytical are left-brained whereas the more artistic and creative people are believed to be right-brained due to the “dominant functions” of the two sides of the brain, which is also a false notion.

The left and right hemispheres of the brain both contribute to producing a certain set of skills like mathematics, etc. So scientists are not left-brained and artists are not right-brained, they are just…brained!

This is another misconception that involves our health. We are encouraged to consume little to no fat due to the belief that it leads to obesity when in fact there is a variety of foods that contain healthy fat like avocados, cheese, nuts, and dark chocolate.
