You should avoid eating rapidly, drinking water while eating, and talking while eating. All of these are responsible for preventing the food from being broken down.
You should make your meal time quiet and stress-free so you’ll sit down and chew your food properly before you swallow it.

Alcohol is particularly bad for heartburn, however, those bitters can be useful.
Before you start eating, make yourself a glass of water mixed with a few drops of bitters, such as the type normally used to make cocktails.
Gentian root is a botanical ingredient in bitters, it quickens the flow of your stomach acids, saliva, and bile, and prepares your system for proper digestion.
5- Change Your Sleeping Position
The food pipe is linked to the stomach on the right side of your body.
Acid reflux happens when the food in your stomach flows into or presses against the entrance of the food pipe.
So, the best solution is to simply start sleeping on your left side. You may not feel comfy at first but the decline in your heartburn symptoms will be totally worth it.
6- Make some Fennel Tea
Fennel is a cooking herb that’s used as a healthy homemade remedy for various digestive problems, including heartburn.
To make fennel tea, you need to put a few teaspoons of crushed fennel seeds into a tea infuser and add boiling water, then cover it and let it soak for 7 to 10 minutes.
When you crush and soak fennel seeds, they let out volatile oils, which have been proven to ease heartburn.
