The fruit smoothies you purchase from the grocery stores are mostly loaded with sugar, which will sabotage your journey of losing weight.
So the best solution is to make your own: one cup of fruit, protein (protein powder, for example), greens, and unsweetened almond milk. It will be 10 times better and healthier than any smoothie you’ve ever purchased.
#4 – Bananas
Bananas are extremely healthy and must be eaten daily, but if you are trying to lose weight, then you have to consider the amount you have to consume: one large banana contains 120 calories and 17 grams of sugar. Maybe a small, tasty one will be enough to get your daily dose of its nutrient. The same thing applies to pineapples.
#5 – Mangoes
No one can deny the fact that mangoes are very delicious, but sadly, they are also very high in sugar; One cup can serve over 22 grams. They are not the best choice when you are trying to drop some weight, and if you have to eat them, then it is necessary to keep a close eye on the serving size.
#6 – Grapes
Grapes are also one of our favorite fruits that we would love to binge-eat all day, but according to Brooke Alpert, RD, The Diet Detox author, these delicious fruits should be avoided while working on losing some weight because they contain about 16 grams of sugar per one-cup serving, which is a little too much.
#7 – Watermelon
Brooke also talked about watermelon and its ability to harm any weight loss diets due to the high amount of sugar it contains: 17 grams per wedge (1/6 of the melon).
But these fruits are one of the best summer snacks that keep us very hydrated during the warm days, so you should not give it up all at once, as long as you stay cautious of the portion size: 1 cup of watermelon chunks is only 9 grams of sugar.
