Enjoying icy drinks is one of the best things about summer. Yet, the bad news is that when UV light comes into contact with oil from some fruits, particularly limes and lemons, you may get chemical burns!

This terrible health problem is known as phytophotodermatitis, and luckily, it can be avoided by washing off any citrus juice from your hands and arms.

Did you know that your eyes are vulnerable to the sun’s effects in many ways? The lighter is the color of your eye, the more you are at risk of developing skin cancer around your eyes.

In fact, eyelid skin cancer accounts for 5-10 percent of all skin cancers. To protect your eyes, wear sunglasses with 100 percent UVA and UVB protection and make sure the area around your eyes is covered.
