There is a theory that says getting a base tan can protect the skin and helps it stay healthy, but it is completely untrue since all types of tans are unhealthy and unsafe, whether it is from a tanning bed or the natural sunlight.
There are many scientific studies that proved base tan as a dangerous thing because a low level of photoprotection is way more dangerous than the damage the sun may cause.
However, we know that having a tan makes us look more attractive, but being healthy and making the right decisions is way more attractive… believe me!
#4 – Drinking too much alcohol
Summer is all about the fun, But it is best if you cool it down on alcoholic beverages, and drink other fluids instead that can help you stay hydrated.
The Unity Point Healthy says that enjoying a cold drink in a hot temperature is extremely dangerous because not only it leads to dehydration, but it makes you lose the fluids in your body twice as quickly as normal. Also, it can turn into a heat stroke, which can cause an organ failure.
#5 – Not wearing a life jacket
If you spend most of your summer days cruising around in a kayak or boating, then don’t forget your life jacket on the shore, even if you are the greatest swimmer in history.
According to a 2016 report by the Coast Guard, 80% of fatal boating accidents were due to drowning, and 83% of those victims were not wearing their life jackets.
It is kind of silly to wear it or keep in hand while having fun in the middle of the ocean, but it could truly save your life because no one knows what would happen next!
