Not all dairy products can handle being stored in the freezer, as some of these products can become watery and lose their texture and rich taste if left in the freezer. For example, Freezing sour cream will make it separate, which is simply gross. However, you can still freeze high-fat cream, whipped cream, and cream with sugar.

Also, you can freeze cheese, but only the variety that contains more than 40% of fat. Milk can also be frozen but only if it wasn’t removed from its original container. Although it’s not the best idea if you want to drink it straight because it will turn lumpy when thawed. But if you want to use the milk in cooking, thawed milk can do well.

Potatoes are one of the foods that are not freezer friendly at all. Raw potatoes will turn black if you place them in the freezer! Moreover, potatoes have high water content, which means that ice crystals will build up when you put this veggie in the freezer and you’ll end up with a mushy potato when you thaw it. It’s best to store this veggie in a dry and cool place.

Besides, potatoes are known to for their ability to last longer than most other vegetables and fruits, so you can just consume them before they turn too soft or start to sprout. Remember that freezing raw potatoes is only going to ruin them. However, you can freeze potato puree, and it can last in the freezer for an amazing 4 to 6 months.
